Strategist, organization builder and stand-up comic.
Dan Krassner builds the strategy, organization and unlikely coalition a hard problem needs when there’s no existing playbook. For more than 20 years he has worked where business, politics, philanthropy and public opinion collide.
Today
Dan is Executive Director of EVs for All America and the American EV Jobs Alliance, which he leads with veteran Republican strategist Mike Murphy, and Senior Vice President at Kensington Avenue Strategies. His team designed and helped win California’s MyFirstEV program: $135.5 million in state funds, matched dollar for dollar by automakers, for about $271 million in savings to first-time EV buyers at the point of sale.
Before that
He co-founded the Florida watchdog Integrity Florida with his wife, Nicole, and co-authored eleven research reports that shaped the state’s 2013 ethics and campaign finance reforms, ran the campaign for America’s first local Anti-Corruption Act, served as Political Director of RepresentUs, where he built Count Every Hero to put 70+ retired generals, admirals and veterans behind counting every military ballot, and was Senior Director of Campaigns at Unite America, a philanthropic venture fund for nonpartisan election reform. He began his career in corporate public affairs at Tucker/Hall, the Florida Chamber of Commerce and Burson-Marsteller.
He has also been on the ballot himself. He ran for the Florida House in 2002 and won a seat on the Community Preservation Committee in Northampton, Massachusetts, in 2020.
And he does stand-up. It’s less unrelated than it sounds: both mean reading the room, cutting an idea to what matters, taking a risk and finding out fast whether it lands. His debut special, Made in Florida, is on YouTube.
Florida roots
Dan was born in Clearwater, grew up in Largo, and graduated from St. Petersburg High School. He earned a B.S. in political science from Florida State University and lived in St. Petersburg after college before his work took him to Tallahassee, Massachusetts and New York. He lives in New York City with his wife and comedy co-writer, Nicole Krassner, and their two kids.
